Create Checklist

Checklists can be created from Options menu or Context menu

Creating Checklist from Options menu:

  1. Press Menu
  2. Select New checklist to open the New checklist window

Creating Checklist from Context menu:

  1. Press and hold Category icon(green circular icon) in the dashboard taskbar to bring up Context menu
  2. Select New checklist to open the New checklist window

Add/Edit Checklist Details

The New checklist or Edit checklist allows you to add and edit the settings and information for a checklist in the following fields:

  • Title:  enter name of the checklist
  • Action: Set actions to be performed on the task. Currently available actions are: phone, msg, email, map and browse.
  • Category:  assign the checklist to a category
  • Priority:  assign the following priority levels to the checklist-  None, Low, Medium and High
  • Note:  enter any additional information about the checklist
  • Due Date and Time:  set checklist due date and time
  • Alarm:  set alarm for the checklist
  • Repeating:  set repeating settings for recurring checklist
  • Sync: Sync to Google calendar you set in settings page. If no calendar is defined. The field will not be available. 
Tip: use Save+ icon to add multiple new checklists without leaving New checklist screen

Edit Checklist Details

  1. In the dashboard view press and hold the checklist you want to edit to bring up the Context menu
  2. Select Edit checklist to open the Edit checklist screen

Delete Checklist

  1. In the dashboard view press and hold the checklist you want to delete to bring up the Context menu
  2.  Select Delete checklist from the menu option (deleted checklist will be put into recycle bin first)

Edit Checklist Contents

In the dashboard view select the checklist you want to edit to bring up the Checklist View screen. Checklist View screen has two modes - View mode and Edit mode 

  • View mode allows you to check/uncheck list items, check/uncheck all, show unchecked only, etc.
  • Edit mode allows you to add new item/category or modify the checklist contents

You can tap on the checklist icon on the top left corner of the title bar or use Options menu to switch between View and Edit modes. Edit mode is identified by a checklist page with pencil icon.

To add an item:

  1. Enter Edit mode in the Checklist View screen
  2. Press and hold the title bar of the checklist or a category to bring up Context menu
  3. Select Add item to open the New Item screen
 Tip: use Save+ icon to add multiple new items without leaving New item screen

To add a category (available in Pro version only):

  1. Enter Edit mode in the Checklist View screen
  2. Press and hold the title bar of the checklist or a category to bring up Context menu
  3. Select Add category to open the New category window
 Tip: use Save+ icon to add multiple new categories without leaving New category screen

To edit an item or a category:

  1. Enter either View or Edit mode in the Checklist View screen
  2. Select the item or category you want to edit 
  3. The Edit item or Edit category  screen will be opened

Note: the behavior might be changed later for better user experience

*** Do not change orientation during checklist item add/edit. There is a limitation in out data structure which will not save your data if you do so. We will look into the issue in the future.

Advanced Checklist Edit Options in Checklist View

Checklist View screen provides a set of edit options for you to configure the checklist as needed.  These options are context menu driven and the menu options are different for View mode and Edit mode.

In View mode:

        Press and hold the title bar of the checklist to bring up Context menu

  • Check all:  Check all checklist items
  • Uncheck all:  Uncheck all checklist items
  • Show unchecked only:  Show only the unchecked items
  • Show checked only:  Show only the checked items
  • Expand all:  Expand all categories under the checklist. The menu item will not be shown if there is no category defined in the checklist
  • Collapse all:  Collapse all categories under the checklist. The menu item will not be shown if there is no category defined in the checklist

In Edit mode:

  • Press and hold the title bar of the checklist to bring up title Context menu
    • Add item:  Add a checklist item to the end of the checklist
    • Add category:  (available in Pro version only) Add a checklist category to the end of the checklist
    • Delete checked item(s):  Delete all the checked items from the checklist
  •  Press and hold a category of the checklist to bring up category Context menu
    • Add item:  Add a checklist item to the end of the category
    • Add category:  (available in Pro version only) Add a subcategory to the end of the category
    • Move up:  Move the category up one level under parent node. The option will not be shown if the category is already on the top of the parent node
    • Move down: Move the category down one level under parent node. The option will not be shown if the category is already on the bottom of the parent node
    • Move to category: Move the category and its child items under another category or checklist root
    • Demote to a item: Demote the category to a item. The option will be shown if the category has no child item 
    • Delete category: Delete the category and all its child items from checklist
  • Press and hold a item of the checklist to bring up item Context menu
    • Move up:  Move the item up one level under parent node. The option will not be shown if the item is already on the top of the parent node
    • Move down:  Move the item down one level under parent node. The option will not be shown if the item is already on the bottom of the parent node
    • Move to category:  Move the item under another category or checklist root
    • Promote to category: Promote the item to a category
    • Delete item: Delete the item from checklist
